The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Product Development Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Analyst, Onboard Revenue & Analytics reporting to the Senior Manager, Onboard Revenue Strategy & Shorex Revenue.

 

Position Summary

This position supports strategic decision-making through critical thinking, quantitative/qualitative analysis, and effective communication of concepts, results and potential impacts. Role is responsible for the creation and maintenance of Shore Excursion revenue management strategies, the management of these practices resulting in tour revenue optimization, driving cost savings, and managing payments of over $200M to tour operators. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develops and communicates revenue strategies for onboard revenue to gain efficiencies, improve functional capabilities, and implement critical business initiatives which impact P&L performance.  Develops pricing models, tours packages, seasonal pricing strategies, and tour positioning which will bolster revenue growth.   Directs the development, enhancement, and maintenance of pricing strategy models across different regions and target demographics.   Supports onboard revenue management functions which include price management, reporting, audits, and analytical querying.  Develops and maintains the forecast for shore excursion revenue and provides other relevant data and analysis to the budgeting process.  Focuses on business performance monitoring and reporting by creating business intelligence reports to assess the current performance and to understand business risks in order to meet year-end forecasts.  Track, review, and approve payments to tour operators  Identify cost saving opportunities during the RFP process.  Complete month-end journal entries such as COGS, cost accruals, prepaid expenses, etc.

Financial Responsibility 

Analyze and revenue manage over $400M of shore excursion revenue per year along with identifying costs savings and processing over $200M in tour operator costs per year. 

 

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills: 

Bachelor's degree (BA) required with a degree focus on Accounting, Finance, or other quantitative discipline preferred.  3+ years experience and/or training in an analytic or quantitative discipline required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Strong computer skills including advanced Excel and SQL.  Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, JD Edwards World, Oracle Database, and Microsoft Suite is a plus.  Familiarity with business forecasting.  Proven track record in program and project management and implementation, metrics development and analytics.   Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management, guests, and employees.  Ability to effectively present information to senior leadership, public groups, and/or board of directors.  Ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
