Senior Analyst, Pricing, Global Focus Accounts

POSITION PROFILE

The purpose of the RGS Deal & Contract Management team is to win and retain profitable business with Ricoh's largest global clients, through the creation and successful negotiation of commercial proposals across all lines of Ricoh's business. This requires a deep knowledge and understanding of the client, the competitive landscape and Ricoh's delivery capabilities. The DC&M team creates competitive and well-crafted proposal packages including commercial pricing models and commercial terms and conditions using standards and best practice developed by our team.

The Senior Global Pricing Analyst is responsible for creating and successfully completing pricing submissions for complex Managed Print Services (MPS) and New Services priced proposals for Ricoh's largest global accounts.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Review Global Client pricing requirements for tenders and pro-active proposals and ensure that the constructed pricing is: Aligned with the win strategy and the price, profitability and risk levels determined by the business. Based on known, rational and verifiable assumptions (may require validating or directly developing those assumptions); =Submitted in compliance with the format required by the Client. Prepared using the required tools, processes, and best practices to ensure accuracy, comparability, and reproducibility of the submission; and Peer reviewed to identify and minimize errors. In conjunction with the assigned Global Deal Manager: Complete Key Deal Metrics and analysis of customers data in order to support deal qualification and advise on proposal win strategies. Prepare and submit proposal pricing to Clients, flagging risks and assumptions and recommending mitigations where appropriate. Create and present commercial deal analyses, including recommending strategies and pricing approaching, supported by quantitative and qualitative data, to management for review and approval. Provide expert advice to select the most cost effective and competitive products and service support models in compliance with customer specifications and requirements (including compatibility with proposed Ricoh technical solutions), selecting the optimal approach for target TCO and managing the strategic positioning of pricing support to meet Client win prices. Ensure that the necessary tools and supporting assumptions are kept up-to-date and that developments required to meet changing needs are identified, logged, submitted and successfully implemented. Ensure that pricing and underlying assumptions remain in harmony with the proposed deliverables and commercial terms and conditions. Ensure that the Pricing Quality Assurance (PQA) process is followed and that developments required to meet changing user, Client and business needs are identified, logged, submitted, and successfully implemented. Complete defined projects, contributing to the ongoing development of the business area. Accurate and competitively priced proposals delivered to GXA Clients within agreed levels of risk and profitability. High-quality financial analysis, including deal qualification, Client fleet review, win strategies and market price analysis. Consistent use and development of applicable pricing tools, including the GPT, processes and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)

Business degree or similar with emphasis on numeracy. Significant experience, at least four years, typically six years, in an IT or similar pricing role Significant experience of successful pricing for large enterprise Clients (global experience a plus) Significant experience in designing and developing complex Excel-based pricing tools, processes, and strategies

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Understanding of the IT environment; financial structure and ROI demands of corporate IT departments. Experience in IT services an advantage. Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling. VBA experience required and Access skills preferred. May require some travel. Technical Excel Ability (Global Vision): Advanced Excel skills, including ability to construct accurate bespoke complex financial modelling, working with large forms of data and complex formulas in template-based and bespoke pricing models. VBA, MS Access, SQL, or other database skills preferable. Product & Solution Knowledge (Customer Centric): Ability to understand the full range of Ricoh's latest hardware products, software and technical service offerings, particularly relative price points and functionality. Selects and packages these in the most effective manner in response to Client proposals. inancial Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of financial terminology (e.g. Present Value, residuals, leasing). Familiarity with basic management accounting concepts (particularly Profit & Loss statements) and experience of reviewing their component elements. Understanding impact of external factors such as inflation, currency, taxes and other third-party costs may have to financials and customer view of the price. Commercial Acumen (Managed Complexity): Excellent analytical, questioning, reasoning and decision-making skills, coupled with a strong appreciation for the business impact (Ricoh and the Client) of decisions made. The ability to identify and solve problems, particularly in scenarios requiring both logical and lateral thinking. The mental agility to absorb, conceptualize and adapt pricing approaches for Clients and new line of business areas, based on pricing experience. Understanding of the relationship between pricing and delivery models and commercial terms and conditions. Discipline & Attention to Detail (Ethics & Integrity): Excellent attention to detail and the self-organizational skills to deal with the requirements of working on large tenders with tight deadlines. Works with a level of care and diligence, producing complex financial models with in-built cross-checking mechanisms to keep computational errors to a minimum. Strategic Thought (Innovation): Understands, develops, and actively contributes to winning proposal strategy which is both relevant and deliverable, across both written and numerical aspects.
