Senior Analyst, Private Markets Operations

As an Onboarding Analyst in the Private Markets Operations team, you will oversee asset onboarding and product lifecycle events for various products, including infrastructure, real estate, private equity, and more. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, front office, legal, tax, and compliance, while working closely with NAV/fund accounting, regulatory reporting, and AML/KYC teams. Your responsibilities include ensuring efficient onboarding of new launches, timely setup of Fund Admin vendors, and operational readiness of custodians/bank accounts. Day-to-day tasks involve planning new launches with the product team, developing operating models with Operations and vendors, drafting fund contracts, negotiating vendor fees, establishing accounting practices, and implementing technology solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

Ability to coach and train entry-level onboarding analysts.

Ability to apply sound judgment to identify issues, assess risks, and identify items requiring escalation.

Build and maintain relationships with key internal investment stakeholders, such as operations, compliance, legal, tax, and product, as well as external third-party vendors.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Contributes to the continuous improvement of business process

Support vendor management 

Facilitate department procedures such as Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity program, Business Unit Records Coordination, and Privacy deliverables.

Collaborate with stakeholders in the department to ensure the integrity of processing and workflow in support of these onboarding projects.

Manage the document and procedure library, ensuring procedures and job aids are accurate and current. 

Troubleshoot and/or assist in problem resolution of complex issues

Serve as lead and/or liaison for departmental and cross-departmental projects and participate in collaborative initiatives.  

Facilitate problem-solving and remedial action by collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years in Alternative Investment Funds, Real Estate /Private Equity Funds, Private Investment Experience

Detail-oriented individual, highly organized and prioritized skills due to the different deadlines and priorities

Previous experience in onboarding or financial services industries

Ability to work effectively within a matrixed, geographically dispersed team and leverage knowledge across the organization

Ability to effectively communicate to varying audiences ranging from executives to front-line employees

Ability to thrive, adapt, and lead in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

Highly developed influencing and negotiating skills

Outstanding ability to break down complex cases, recommend and implement a solution

Sound knowledge of emerging technology and business trend

Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills needed to build relationships and communicate with internal stakeholders and customers effectively

Excellent customer focus and commitment to quality

Ability to act with integrity and independence

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Proven organization, time management, and presentation skills

Project management skills and agile knowledge

Disciplined and able to carry out assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision

Propensity to understand and mitigate risk

The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between

$71,550.00 USD - $119,250.00 USD
