Senior Analyst, Risk Intelligence and Advanced Analytics
The **Senior Analyst, Risk Intelligence and Analytics** will report to the Senior Director, Risk in the Operational Risk and Resilience Oversight (ORRO) function and support the Global Risk Intelligence and Technology mission and vision. The role will be responsible for delivering various functional capabilities including but not limited to analytics, Large Language Models, reporting, modeling, automation, and other related operational risk management activities, as well as supporting the development and execution of the relevant roadmaps and plans for the function. We reserve the right to change duties or assign additional duties at any time with or without notice. **Position Responsibilities:** We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Analyst of Risk Intelligence and Advanced Analytics to join our team, focusing on supporting our Generative AI program. This role involves developing and implementing advanced analytical frameworks to identify and mitigate risks associated with AI technologies, as well as exploring and developing innovative use cases for generative AI within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in risk management, data analytics, and AI technologies, coupled with exceptional problem-solving and leadership skills. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Support the analysis and development of prioritized Gen AI use cases + Support the Gen AI working group to keep the pipeline of new ideas organized + Support the transformation of developing AI enhanced ORRM reports and BI enablement by partnering with programs leads. + Support process automation for collecting and analyzing data across the enterprise. + Supporting the delivery of machine learning, large language model and other related analytics projects within ORRM + Provide support to Risk Intelligence and Technology team on data ingestion, clean-up, mapping etc. (e.g., data analysis, data clean-up, validation, creating and maintenance of reports and dashboards) + Identifying opportunities for creating efficiencies within reporting framework and processes. + Assist in testing, cleaning, and preparing data for reporting readiness. + Assist in the generation of reports and ensuring accuracy in the metrics being reported. + Assist with documenting processes, procedures, project work and ad hoc request as required. **Required Qualifications:** + Good knowledge of financial services/insurance business and functions. + Proficient in utilizing Power BI, and Power Platform to create interactive dashboards, automate workflows and develop custom application for improved business intelligence and efficiency. + Skilled at dashboard design with a consideration of UI/UX fundamentals. + Experience in big data analysis, including the use of Azure (OpenAI service, Machine Learning, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Datalake) to process and interpret large datasets. + Skilled in Python, R, SQL, Pandas, Jupiter notebooks, database schemas, data modeling and ETL processes to derive actionable insights. + Experience in reporting with attention to detail, executing with high precision under very tight deadline with strong analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information. + Highly organized individual with strong time management and organizational skills. + Self-starter with the ability to work independently. + Excellent collaborative and relationship building skills; showing tact and diplomacy in dealing with others. + Ability to learn quickly and be comfortable with adjusting to ad-hoc changes in workflow. **When you join our team:** + We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want. + We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words. + As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see. **About Manulife and John Hancock** Manulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
