Role Summary

Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for handling and processing transactions for the Securities Lending group. Demonstrates a clear understanding of the securities lending product and the process flow followed. The Securities Operations practice is dedicated to the highest quality service in a controlled environment and in an efficient manner. It provides collaborative solutions for clients in a timely manner, while maintaining the highest possible internal control standards to ensure optimal client service and low unit costs.

Responsibilities include: 

Processes payment instructions received via authenticated wire systems

Handles special conditions payment processing for clients

Demonstrates knowledge of market rules to identify trades that could cause potential issues for income collections and work with internal partners to ensure such issues are resolved

Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact

May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management

Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees

May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)

More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas

Delivers a work product that requires less revision

Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions

Qualifications: 

A College or University degree and/or relevant Securities Operations work experience is required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

In-depth Securities Operations/ Industry Knowledge is required

Highly flexible and adaptable to change
