Senior Analyst, Stock Compensation and Equity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Accounting Analyst to join our finance team, specializing in stock compensation, earnings per share (EPS), and equity transactions. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate accounting and reporting of equity-based compensation programs and related transactions. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards while providing insights into our equity programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

Stock Compensation Accounting:

Oversee the accounting for equity-based compensation plans, including stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and performance shares.Calculate and record stock compensation expense in accordance with ASC 718.Prepare stock-based compensation disclosure in the company’s quarterly and annual financial statements.

Earnings Per Share (EPS):

Prepare and analyze EPS calculations, including basic and diluted EPS, ensuring compliance with GAAP.Prepare EPS disclosure in the company’s quarterly and annual financial statements.

Equity Transactions:

Manage the accounting for equity transactions, including issuance of stock, repurchases, and equity grants.Maintain and reconcile equity accounts, ensuring accurate reporting of share-based transactions.Prepare equity statement and equity disclosures in the company’s quarterly and annual financial statements.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare detailed reports and analyses related to stock compensation and equity transactions for management and stakeholders.Provide insights and recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of equity compensation programs.

Collaboration and Compliance:

Work closely with HR, legal, and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and proper reporting of stock compensation plans.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in AccountingCPA required3-6 years of experience in public accounting and/or external financial reporting for a public companyStrong written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with EPS, stock-based compensation accounting, and complex capital structures a plusCapable of leading large complex projectsAble to perform in a fast-paced environment
