The team you will be a part of

The Supply and Logistics team is responsible for keeping the appropriate levels of materials and/or stock supplies with the aim to maximize inventory control and company sales. Organizes deliveries to meet given deadlines and customer expectations. Supervises and tracks the flow of materials and products from suppliers throughout the organization.

This role in summary

This position is overall responsible for the operations of the Spanaway WA region Local Distribution Centers (LDC) and the Spanaway LDC warehouse. The responsibilities of the role include meeting goals and objectives for the LDCs, working closely with transportation third-party logistics (3PL)  providers, Regional Distribution Center (RDC) personnel, sales and other Whirlpool internal and external process partners, including customers. This position will have a reporting structure of an hourly person to manage the facility, equipment and admin tasks. The person in this role will assist in the design of warehouse layouts, including return lanes (Grade A and non-A), redelivery lanes and  hospital lanes with the goal of optimizing traffic flow and space utilization while maintaining 5S and operational efficiency.  The person in this role will be accountable to deliver key metrics such as Delivery Window Adherence, 5 Star Survey, MobileLink Adherence, Warehouse inventory accuracy, continuous improvement, Cost Savings Initiatives (P4G), and speed & efficiency of overall processes. The Individual in this role should be adaptable to a fast paced and demanding environment and ensuring that individual project objectives are achieved on time with a high degree of quality 
 

Your responsibilities will include Own overall accountability for service, quality, cost and day to day execution of a Local Distribution Center (LDC) within a region. Responsible to manage an hourly employee and 3PLs who will deliver / install units  for all business segments (Multi family, single family, home and retail)Route Planner activities (routing, publishing routes, tracking drivers, etc)Corrections to driver MobileLink (ML) inputs via SAPCustomers’ and internal process partners’ escalation supportAccountable for issues with missing/damaged product, scrap, and processing and grading returned productEnsures 5S standard of the warehouseMaintain an operational continuous improvement mindsetWork with 3PLs to ensure Whirlpool assets and customers are taken care of and managed in a manner consistent with Whirlpool values, policies and procedures
 Minimum requirements Bachelor's Degree in  Business or Supply Chain 3+ years’ experience in Supply Chain or Warehousing Operations with experience coaching/mentoring othersStrong collaboration and influencing skills and excellent communication skills (oral and written) Computer skills for working with data, including proficiency with Google tools and databases Analytical & critical thinking skillsAble to carry 400 pounds (with a use of a handcart) 
 Preferred skills and experiences Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems and to make decisions sometimes with limited dataExperience managing projects; ability to take ownership of the program deliverables, timeline, and budgetUnderstand SAP order management, finance and warehouse management systemsDemonstrated understanding & application of Continuous Improvement tools & methodologies
