As a Senior Analyst – Healthcare Economics, this role will perform critical research and investigation of key business problems. Using analytical skills, you will develop and improve quantitative data analytics and set performance targets for the enterprise. As a subject matter expert, you will interpret and analyze clinical data from various sources and recommend best approaches for its consolidation You will be empowered to support short and long term operational/strategic business activities; develop, enhance, and maintain business intelligence tools that will have an impact on business decisions.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

Design and develop data queries and programs through Python, SQL or other similar tools to create data sets and models for analyzing and interpreting key drivers of health care trends (i.e. medical cost, utilization, etc.). Build and maintain user friendly and informative dashboards and summarizations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders using relevant data visualization aids. Support & maintain Key Performance metrics while producing actionable insights for improvements. Collaborate with stakeholders and internal business partners to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions. Apply Data Quality Assurance Techniques to verify accuracy and reliability of data and reports, identifying and resolving data quality issues. Implement data governance in line with company standards. Conduct Ad Hoc Analysis and solve complex data issues and provide consultative advice and summarize analytic findings. Provide ongoing, meaningful, communications to leadership on project status, results and conclusions from analyses.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (data science, analytics, mathematics, economics, business, statistics, engineering, or finance) or equivalent experience. Experience in programming and data analytics either from educational study or professional experience. Experience programming statistical models, demonstrate understanding of different statistical methods and approaches. Experience with MS Excel, SQL (Snowflake, Databricks) for data analytics. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Adaptable and keen to learn new technology/ programming language. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in relevant field (data science, analytics, mathematics, economics, business, statistics, engineering, or finance) or equivalent experience Proficiency in analytic tools such as SQL, R and Python. Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar. Proficiency in Machine Learning and AI models and algorithms.   Proficiency using other MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Teams & OneNote. Experience working with large data sets.
