About the Opportunity

The Chemistry and Radioanalytical Solutions business is recruiting for a Scientist to be based in Birchwood, Warrington to work with a team of highly qualified technicians, analysts, and senior scientists. For this role, the Senior Analyst will be working with a range of national and international client. They will need to work collaborative with other business areas to run analytical processes and solutions to the problems of tomorrow, including operational and decommissioning sites. 

Responsibilities May Include\:

Analysis of samples for radiochemical and chemical parameters Timely delivery of results to the customer Working with senior members of staff to deliver the business goals and requirements Experience in a range of analytical techniques and the ability to deploy onto existing or new challenges, including alpha spectroscopy, liquid scintillation counting, ICP-MS and ICP-OES, gamma spectroscopy Equipment calibration and maintenance

* Graduate in chemistry, chemical engineering or other scientific discipline, or comparable knowledge and experience Good interpersonal skills The ability to collaborate with colleagues Excellent practical laboratory skills The ability to work flexibly on complex problems developing innovative solutions Experience of developing radiochemical methods under supervision Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)

 

Desirable Skills Include\:

Experience of Quality Assurance, method validation, and accreditation against ISO 17025
