Senior Analyst **Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):** Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Informatics, Computer Science, or a relevant field. Four (4) years of full-time experience performing informatics-related work in a clinical or research environment. **Preferred Qualifications:** Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Informatics, Computer Science, relevant field. Five (5) or more years of full-time experience performing informatics-related work in a clinical or research environment. Experience with data modeling, data architecture, data integration technologies, and/or complex data environments. Proficient with Tableau, Cerner (or other EMR), Qualtrics, systems maintenance, and technical IT support. Skilled with MS Excel (complex formulas, v-lookup, h-lookup, pivot tables), MS Access, Power BI, VBA, Python, SPSS, MySQL, and SQL Server. **Brief Description of Duties:** We are thrilled to offer an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and motivated Informatics Analyst to play a vital role in the success of the SUNY World Trade Center Health Program. You will work closely with leadership, IT professionals, clinicians, and vendors to optimize systems and workflows through constantly evolving technologies. This role offers opportunities to work with staff of all seniority levels, showcase advanced technical skills, and contribute to a mission-driven healthcare program. The incumbent will apply methodologies and principles in such areas as data capture, data integration, and data analytics and visualization to advance program needs, objectives, and outcomes. Solutions may include but are not limited to building complex data capture workflows and databases, designing data monitoring dashboards, and implementing interoperability interfaces, both within and outside of existing development platforms. If you are a detail-oriented, self-starting professional with excellent organizational and communication skills, this is the role for you. **Duties:** **Informatics Project Management** : + Work closely with diverse stakeholders (including clinicians, investigators, leadership, and research support staff) to define requirements and devise technology solutions that meet client needs, follow best practices, and comply with institutional policies and regulations. + Exercise technical leadership to plan and carry out successful development projects, adhering to coding standards and validation practices to ensure high-quality solutions. + Utilize technical and problem-solving skill sets to troubleshoot database design issues and coordinate enhancements, both individually and in collaboration with other team members. + Identify workflow and technical issues for process improvement and change management. Scope out new technologies as needed, perform proof of concept testing, and make recommendations to the team and management. + Maintain list of open queries and communicate list to group in weekly meetings. Contribute to presentations for both internal and external audiences. May provide oversight, mentorship, and cross-training to other analysts on the team. + Lead and execute new projects and upgrades independently or with a team by managing project life cycles, document progress, and providing real-time updates. + Strong understanding of clinical workflow processes, resulting in current and future workflow enhancements and performance improvements to support clinical practice. + Participates in interdisciplinary and process improvement teams to identify potential uses of information systems and potential optimization of current use of systems that meet contract requirements. + Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives and document all development efforts in real time and following established policies and procedures. **Data Management and Analytics** : + Automate repetitive tasks to achieve operational efficiency through the use of scripting, routines, stored procedures, etc. Build automated workflows to support the extract-transform-load (ETL), cleaning, and validation of data as needed. + Work with counterparts to coordinate continuous data quality processes, provide access to the central data repositories, troubleshoot data quality issues, and develop visualization and routine dashboards for meeting operational and site performance monitoring requirements. + Collaborate with team members on database modeling and other technical functions to support and advance the objectives of the Program. + Collaborate with team members to create and maintain documentation, including change logs, technical specifications, and SOPs. + Deliver high-quality and error-free datasets to support clinical, research, and business decisions. + Maintain complex data environments like SQLServer and SPSS. + Lead continuous data modeling and integration efforts. **Systems and Technology Optimization** : + Call Center Backend Management: + Maintain backend systems, workflows, optimize routing/AI keywords, and enhance performance. + Organize call recordings for research and quality improvement. + Troubleshoot backend issues and propose improvements. + Manage user accounts and skillsets. + EMR Champion: + Train and support staff on EMR usage and workflows. + Update referral orders, billing codes, documentation templates, and pharmacy orders. + Work with SBMIT and EMR vendors for system updates, issues, and change requests + TrialDB Champion: + Train staff and manage TrialDB configurations for research and data needs. + Implement upgrades and resolve issues with MSSM Data Center. + IDX Scheduling, Cipher, and EWS: + Optimize workflows and staff usage; generate reports and automate scheduling messages and texts. + Train staff in scheduling systems and troubleshooting issues. + Technology Leadership: + Provide consultation, training, and support to users of clinical and research information systems as needed. + Assist in the administration of clinical and research information systems to ensure stability, security, and performance. Stay current on emerging healthcare technologies. + Propose and implement solutions to improve efficiency, workflows, and contract requirements. + Align technological advancements with organizational goals. **IT Support** : + Represent WTC staff in collaboration with SBMIT to coordinate IT issue resolution and optimize system performance. + Distinguish between training, workflow or system issues and either resolve the issues internally or escalate/report issues when needed to the correct persons and follow-up for closure. + Train staff and share knowledge for ongoing improvements. + Stay up to date on emerging technologies to support organizational success. **Other duties as assigned.** **Special Notes:** The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation.
