Position Summary

The position is within the Finance team of Real Estate. The Senior Analyst / Analyst will be responsible for financial reporting and operations of BPG private funds.

Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst / Analyst will be responsible for the financial reporting and operations, ensuring legal entities are successfully reported under the requirements of US GAAP and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Investment Company Accounting. Key components of this role include:

· Monthly and quarterly closing of the books including detailed review of expenses, accounts payable and payments for processing

· Prepare/review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS Investment Company Accounting

· Prepare/review investor reports, capital call and distribution notices

· Compile, analyze, and prepare funds’ financial data and operating metrics

· Support Investor relations operations such as roll forward of Investor reporting decks, taking confirmation from LP’s and preparing ad hoc reports

· Coordinate with fund administrator for accounting and reporting matters

· Interact with the external audit and tax reporting processes with big 4 firms

· Liaise with internal teams across all regions and functions to achieve results

· Manage projects effectively, meeting quality, and timelines for deliverables

· Any other finance activities related to fund operations

· Review expenses for accuracy before charging to the funds

· Assist in administering the funds’ Anaplan models

· Able to recommend and implement value add changes to current procedures and processes; and assists in reviews of financial and internal controls

Qualifications & Requirements

Must Have:

· Chartered accountant with 5 to 8 years of experience working in a corporate accounting or audit firm, preferably in financial services or asset management

· The ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines.

· Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)

· Very strong attention to detail

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

· Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.

· Self-motivated, resourceful, and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development.

· Team player with positive attitude and proactive approach to work

· Experience in FIS Private Capital Suite (f/k/a Investran)

Nice to Have:

· Experience in the following would be advantageous.

o Workiva FIS DX, and Dynamics 365

o Complex legal structures

o Anaplan
