Gilbane Development Company is looking for a Senior Analyst to work with our Affordable & Mixed-Income Housing team in New York City. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of affordable housing development.

Responsibilities Analyze the feasibility of proposed development projects and real estate acquisitionsConduct market research to assist in the assessment of sub-markets, identify opportunities, prioritizing targets, and forecast and analyze trends of general business conditionsManage project proformasAnalyze quantitative and qualitative data to propose and present developable sites to the Development TeamAssist in financial closings and due diligenceParticipate in the review of new deals/transactionsAssist with real estate acquisition due-diligenceMentoring other development team membersEvaluate and track the performance of completed projects and asset dispositions against benchmarks, hurdles and original underwriting projectionsAd Hoc analysis as needed

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required, Real Estate, Accounting or Finance preferredMaster’s Degree or Master’s Degree candidate desirable4-7 years’ experience in a similar positionExperience in NY market preferredExperience with acquisition-rehab and value-add developments is a plusCollaborative approach and respectful relationship style with members of the neighborhoods within which we work as well as colleagues, consultants and third-party trade partnersSelf-starter with the ability to execute on a minimum of three to four overlapping projects efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and ability to execute at a high levelHigh degree of organizational skills and problem-solving abilityAbility to prioritize/execute to achieve desired company and project goals with prudence and sense of urgencyExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong relevant computer skillsMaintain memberships and participate in organizations and events

 

 

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.    

 

For New York this ranges from $113,000.00 - $155,500.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
