A Typical Day The Corporate Development Senior Analyst plays a critical role in identifying and evaluating strategic growth opportunities, optimizing Pennymac's corporate capital structure, and supporting a wide range of strategic corporate initiatives. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual who can work closely with senior team members to conduct in-depth research, financial modeling, and analysis to inform critical strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Corporate Development Senior Analyst will: Conduct market research and perform financial analyses to support the evaluation of strategic opportunities Contribute to the cross-functional team processes for due diligence, negotiation, execution and integration of corporate transactions Assist in capital planning and execution efforts, including debt and equity issuances, to optimize the company’s capital structure in alignment with its long term strategies Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses related to strategic initiatives and opportunities Prepare formal updates and proposals for board presentation related to transactions, capital planning, and other strategic corporate initiatives What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Finance, or equivalent work experience Post-graduate certifications (e.g. CPA or CFA) a plus 3+ years of experience in a corporate finance, corporate development, investment banking, or management consulting role Advanced Excel skills to perform financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to effectively interact with groups across departments Why You Should Join As one of the top mortgage lenders in the country, Pennymac has helped over 4 million lifetime homeowners achieve and sustain their aspirations of home.
