PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Senior Analyst Credit Card Policy & Risk Analytics at our Tysons, Virginia location. The scope of this job is to lead credit analysis and support end-to-end development of credit policy in the Consumer Credit Card space,. primarily focusing on line assignment and portfolio risk management in Credit Card. You will have a direct influence on the credit card user experience for hundreds of thousands of PenFed members and direct impact on PenFed’s financial performance. Lead analysis for credit policy optimization and risk mitigation strategies, particularly focused on account management policies that enable better member experience and improve efficiencies. Drive monitoring and deep dive analysis of credit card performance and policy effectiveness, identify emerging credit trends and provide insights on root causes. Brainstorm on policy change and provide ongoing analytics to support credit policy and product innovation to adapt to the ever-changing macro-environment. Collaborate with modeling team to build/manage risk models using both internal and external data sources, conduct risk drivers analysis and build / implement valuations models. Partner with key stakeholders in various groups to spearhead initiatives and enable resilient and profitable growth. Gain familiarity with multiple data sources. Utilize purchased data to gain insight into industry trend and provide benchmarking of PenFed credit card data. Enhance portfolio reporting, improve internal efficiencies, contribute to better data quality and data structures, and meet changing management and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field requirired, Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of two (2) years with Master’s Degree or five (5) years with Bachelor’s of experience in quantitative analysis / modeling, credit policy or credit risk management in financial services industry. Strong data analytical and data visualization skills. Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Familiarity with Snowflake platform and R preferred. Strong skills in various data analysis and visualization tools including SQL, Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint are required. Proficiency with statistical tools (SAS, R) and analysis is preferred. Curiosity, attention to details, strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations, ability to prioritize among multiple projects. Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills in order to actively lead and implement ideas in a cross-functional team environment. Supervisory Responsibility This position will not supervise employees. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.* Travel Limited travel to various worksites is required.
