Senior Analyst - FReC Costing

The BOP cost analyst within GCOE is responsible for the calculation of target costs and to evaluate the technical and economical estimations of concepts and engineering changes, of all automotive interior bought-out parts.

 

The BOP Cost Analyst is responsible for settling of all the work packages of the function according to the current version of the program management system (PMS). Among the tasks mentioned in PMS, the BOPs cost Analyst has the following most important tasks and responsibilities:

 

Analyzing of the RFQ documentsReading and interpretation of engineering drawingsVerification of the technical and economical feasibilityFor certain technologies the preparation of a process flow with subsequent validation by GTS (Global Technology & Standard) Calculation of the purchase prices EXW for the manufacturing of bought-out parts (BOP)Creation of a costing file according to Faurecia Reference Costing (FReC) methodology to calculate the purchase priceCreation of a BOP summary file according to FReC template including the agreed values from Purchasing dept. (based on FReC values) and monitoring of its implementation into the inhouse costing fileSupporting the elaboration of a pricing file for all BOP in the relevant OEM template (e.g.  Verification of BOP supplier offers/BOP purchase pricesSupport of Purchasing dept. in negotiations with suppliers during all program phases (acquisition, development, serial life) by delivering needed outputsDistribution of the costing results to the requestor (Program Manager, Program Buyer)Estimation of engineering changes and implementation into the FReC filesSupport of regularly updating of the FReC filesMonitoring and illustration of the FReC result developmentConditioning of the FReC results for management presentationsRespect the delivery and Quality commitments for the output of work packagesFoster & develop a strong network with the CBUs across the Globe to improve collaboration and communication

 

 

OthersCoordinate and challenge of the assumptions of all relevant and necessary experts and interface functions to define the piece costsClose collaboration with Cost Analysts (In house and Tools)Calculation of alternative / competitor products (Benchmarking)Support for maintaining of the existing databasesSupport for development of costing fundamentals and software toolsIntroduction of constructive improvement ideasSupport program managers/ resp. sales engineers during negotiations with the customer by creating needed output

 

 

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

 

Bachleor’s/Master's degree in Engineering or Diploma, with a specialisation in Automotive ProductionMinimum 6-10 years experience in an industrial environment including a first technical experience (production, manufacturing engineering,…)Product knowlegde for Interior parts like Instrument panel, Door panel & Center console assembly.Knowledge on several supplier technologies, Injection, Chrome, Painting, Blow molding, Welding, etcDemonstrated strong communication, analytical and synthesis skillsFluent in 2 languages including englishGerman language proficiency preffered.
