Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field) required; MBA preferred. Demonstrated expertise in ocean freight, including documentation, contract negotiation, and carrier management. Proven ability to develop and implement cost-effective logistics strategies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in supply chain management principles and practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance requirements. Conduct logistics network studies based on Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify and optimize ocean lane setups. Develop and implement the network setup for all imported parts. Collaborate with purchasing to secure ocean lane contracts within specified timelines. Ensure timely setup of trading company accounts. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of ocean and air carriers, identifying and implementing cost reduction strategies. Achieve all inbound logistics launch metric targets. Collaborate with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to resolve shipment delays caused by carriers. Support inventory optimization initiatives. Manage the day-to-day operations of import logistics for all markets, ensuring zero line stoppages. Maintain expertise in ocean-related documentation. Demonstrate an innovative mindset regarding ocean logistics. Leverage knowledge of ocean transit times, ports, weather patterns, and geopolitical issues to optimize transit times and minimize disruptions.
