RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will collaborate closely with line actuaries to construct rating models in Radar software based on rating manuals or spreadsheets.
• You will be responsible for validating Radar premiums against the database, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Additionally, you will conduct scenario testing on the model to assess potential changes to rates, providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
• Proficiency in running prefabricated queries is required, with the ability to make small relevant changes when needed.
• Additionally, the candidate should be able to create new queries for ad-hoc requests.
• The role will involve contributing and coordinating with both onshore and offshore teams, so excellent communication skills are essential.
QUALIFICATIONS:
6+ years of experience in actuarial or pension roles, demonstrating a strong foundation in these areas.
• Familiarity with General Insurance principles and practices is preferred.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, R and Python, enabling efficient data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong MS Excel skills are required, and additional knowledge in VBA/Excel macros will be advantageous for data handling and automation.
• A background in actuarial papers is a plus.
• 1 or 2 years of experience specifically using WTW Radar will be highly beneficial, indicating familiarity with the platform and its functionalities.
