Senior Analyst - Indirect Rates

KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business unit is seeking a Senior Analyst - Indirect Rates professional. This role will be responsible for optimizing KBR’s rate structure to support competitive price to win and compliance.

The role requires a deep understanding of government contracting regulations, cost accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Rate Structure Design:

Optimize indirect rate structures to bid for US government contracts

Coordinate with business development to find opportunities for competitive pricing

Partner with finance and operations to conduct scenario analysis for different indirect cost structures

Indirect Rate Allocation Management:

Maintain and update indirect cost allocation methodology and procedures, including allocation tool

Analyze and reconcile indirect cost pools and bases

Maintain and improve allocation tools and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

Compliance and Audit Support:

Maintain compliance with government regulations and internal policies

Support internal and external audits, including DCAA audits

Prepare audit documentation and respond to audit inquiries

Financial Analysis:

Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions

Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis

Monitor and analyze budget performance and cost trends

Prepare presentations for financial and non-financial stakeholders summarizing indirect cost allocations

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with budget owners, FP&A, Government Compliance, and other stakeholders

Provide guidance and training on indirect rates and compliance matters

Communicate financial information and analysis to senior management

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in government contracting, with a focus on indirect rates and compliance

Strong knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA audit requirements

Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

CPA or CMA certification is a plus
