Responsibilities

Hines Luxembourg Investment Management (AIFM) is looking to hire a Senior Risk Analyst or Associate, primarily to work in the European Risk Management Team. The Risk Management Team is part of the growing Investment Management / AIFM business managing total AUM exceeding € 10 billion. AIF strategies cover the full risk spectrum (from Core to Opportunistic) and all main asset types. The role is based in Luxembourg, reporting to Director Risk Management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

Collecting, analyzing and monitoring risk and performance data from cash flow models, various reports, investment committee memos, financial statements, valuations and market research data.Setting up risk models, risk scoring and preparation of risk profiles (in Excel).Monitoring key risk indicators against limits and proactively following up on significant risks or foreseeable breaches and on the remediation of risks including linking to the risk assessments.Preparing stress test scenarios at asset and portfolio levels and ability to analyze results.Risk reporting and disclosures to investors, regulator and internally.Assist with operational risk management. Collecting and summarizing operational incidents and preparing operational risk matrix.Assisting with sustainability risk reporting.Supporting review of external valuations. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

 

University degree, preferably in a subject area demanding high analytical aptitude.Five or more years of relevant work experience (real estate/PE risk, investment management, controlling, finance etc.).Highly numerate with a strong skillset in representing the concepts of real estate investment accurately and efficiently in Excel form.Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite, most particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Good communication skills with confident fluency in written and spoken English. Other European languages would be beneficial.Professional qualifications (RICS, CFA etc.) would be considered an advantage.Attention to and care for detail in all work.Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work to a high standard to meet deadlines.Display passion, energy and professional curiosity.Pro-active, self-motivated and adept at using own initiative to be most effective.Ability to relate well to other people at all levels, internally and externally, creating a positive working environment. Culturally sensitive.Good communicator – able to ask right questions and actively listen.Salary will be at market and depend on the specific experience and skill set of the candidate. Closing
