The Corporate Strategy group at Wolters Kluwer reports to the CEO and Chair of the Executive Board and helps drive growth and strategic transformation across the company through the Strategy Team, the Corporate M&A Team, the Pricing Center of Excellence (CoE), and the Sales Transformation CoE. We are a small but diverse Group doing truly impactful work, with great access to and support from executive leadership.
We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst Pricing Strategy to join our Pricing CoE.
Mission
The focus of the Pricing CoE spans an interesting mix of classic packaging & pricing strategy projects, SaaS migration projects, and other strategic monetization initiatives, across a wide variety of businesses in the Wolters Kluwer portfolio.
The Pricing Strategy Sr. Analyst will work with our Director, Pricing Strategy to support and execute strategic pricing initiatives that elevate Wolters Kluwer’s market presence as a leading B2B SaaS company. You will conduct data analyses, market and competitor research, customer research, and workshops to develop optimal pricing strategies. Additionally, you will help manage a global Pricing Community of Practice that fosters sharing pricing and go-to-market best practices across divisions and business units.
Ideal candidates should have strong data/analytical skills, enjoy conceptual problem solving, be able to develop solid presentations conveying the key messages, and have a passion for commercial excellence and pricing.
Responsibilities:
Using data, primary and secondary research techniques - gather, document, analyze, and diagnose current state readiness to drive pricing strategies, scale pricing operations and enable ongoing pricing analytics capabilities;Perform financial modeling and price performance analysis to uncover opportunities for revenue, pricing and margin improvement;Analyze large customer datasets and usage patterns to identify optimal pricing models and customer segmentation opportunities;Conduct competitive and market analysis to understand pricing trends and opportunities;Conduct, manage and synthetize quantitative and qualitative research to validate pricing hypotheses, test price metrics and assess willingness-to-pay;Work closely with product management, marketing, sales, and finance to identify inefficiencies and promote change related to improving Wolters Kluwer’s GTM approaches around product positioning, packaging, pricing and overall revenue growth planning;Support the transformation from perpetual/initial license fee to subscription based and/or hybrid pricing models in a fast-moving environment for information products, global and local software and services;Learn to influence and advise cross-cultural & cross-functional teams with the support of the Director, Pricing Strategy, leveraging strong interpersonal skills;Ability to manage project workstreams against deliverables & timelines;Synthetize findings from multiple sources and complex analysis to develop fact-based, actionable recommendations supported by thought leadership.Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent;Minimum work experience of 2-3 years in a top strategy or pricing consulting firm with preferred focus on pricing strategy projects for B2B software/technology companies;Highly analytical thinker, with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels;Strong interpersonal skills and capable of interacting and communicating effectively through written and verbal channels.Travel
Occasional project related travel, typically in Europe and North America; expect ~25% of travel time.
