The Revenue Requirements and Cost Recovery department is an integral part of PG&E’s Finance organization. We play a pivotal role in financial analysis, financial modeling, and cost recovery. Our vision is to provide value-added financial insights and regulatory expertise to PG&E and our customers. Our team prepares forecasts, regulatory proposals, and testimony for timely recovery of approximately $20 billion in costs annually across multiple regulatory jurisdictions. Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, capable, Senior Analyst to support the development and execution of the GRC Finance exhibits through project management. You will partner with the witness team and case attorney to support the development of clear and compelling testimony and proposals across multiple rate case exhibits, review supporting workpapers to ensure integrity and consistent presentation of the financial data across functional areas and respond to data discovery timely for an accurate filing. You will support the preparation of presentation materials for stakeholder workshops, develop communication plan, analyze intervenors testimony, and support timely implementation of regulatory decisions. You will also support the planning and ongoing review meetings with the witness team and senior leaders.
The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person at the Oakland General Office based on business needs or company requirements.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $102,000
Bay Area Maximum: $162,000
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with the GRC witness team and leaders to review and support the development of compelling testimony to achieve successful regulatory decisions related to the Finance exhibits, including the Results of Operations. Develop trusted partnerships across PG&E functional teams to drive strategic case development and process management. Support the communication of priorities, timelines, and strategies to the exhibit witnesses and support teams. Serve as a point of contact between Regulatory Proceedings and assigned attorney for the GRC Finance exhibit. Serve as a point of contact for Case Coordinators. Coordinate responses to data requests related to the GRC Finance exhibit. Understand the regulatory and financial impact of case developments, support or develop analysis to help leadership make decisions or bring awareness to key issues. Assist in development of strategic briefing materials and/or communications for leadership, partner organizations, and regulators.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Project or Case Management, or related discipline or equivalent work experience 3 years of related work experience Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Desired:
Good understanding of PG&E’s business model to perform cost of service forecasting and analysis for rate case filings and management decision support Good knowledge of the case management procedures and process. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills. Experience with regulatory environment including the development and support of expert witness testimony and/or case management. Project management experience. Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. Strong research and issue resolution skills. Strong knowledge of SAP accounting modules. Depth and breadth of knowledge of the end-to-end regulatory process and environment.
