The Supply and Logistics team is responsible for keeping the appropriate levels of materials and/or stock supplies with the aim to maximize inventory control and company sales. Organizes deliveries to meet given deadlines and customer expectations. Supervises and tracks the flow of materials and products from suppliers throughout the organization.
This role in summaryThis position is responsible for identifying and executing strategic initiatives and analyses involving North American import operations from overseas suppliers. Import activity will focus finished goods and involve end to end ownership from point of origin through delivery to final destination. This role will be required to lead strategic projects and perform analyses to drive cost improvement, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities will include Act as a liaison between supplier and Whirlpool internal functions such as but not limited to deployment, production planning, and distribution centersOversight of Listco KPI Management Operating System (MOS) to include timeliness, accuracy,y and accessibility of KPIs; support corrective actions for Listco to meet or exceed agreed-upon KPIsCreate/manage weekly purchase requisitions Design, develop, and manage weekly deployment plans and distribute to all necessary process partnersManage and maintain inbound container priority while working with transportation and warehousingSupport data pulls for manual PSI loads and support planner as neededGather and assemble large amounts of data from multiple sources and perform detailed analyses to drive improvementLead strategic projects and consult on the best approach on issues with alternative solutionsIdentify the root cause of issues and put steps in place for resolutionAddress escalated issues and concerns from process partnersMulti-task with various responsibilities, while being accountable for results in a fast-paced environmentMinimum requirements Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, logistics, business management or related fieldProject Management skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionallyStrong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in seeking resolution Strong analytical skills and the ability to manipulate data from multiple sources
Preferred skills and experiences Knowledge related to OEM processesStrong communication skills including formal and informal and both written and verbalAbility to work independently and properly prioritize workloads and other assignmentsAbility to multi-task in a timely/accurate manner with strong organization skills and close attention to detailAbility to make sound fact-based decisions in a timely manner even in the face of ambiguityStrong knowledge of computers and software including: Google tools and or MS Office apps including Excel
