We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is excellent at solving sophisticated business problems using data, to join our centralised Analytics team as a Senior Manager for App & Retention Analytics.
In this role, you will lead a small team of high-performing analysts and partner closely with our App and Loyalty teams to accelerate app acquisition, engagement, and user retention. You’ll focus on understanding the key drivers of app performance, conducting in-depth user behaviour analysis to identify and quantify optimisation opportunities that drive logins, repeat visits and lifetime value (LTV). You’ll also guide the design, implementation, and measurement of A/B tests to support continuous product improvement.
Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership:
Lead and develop a team of 2 analysts, while also providing analytical support and mentorship to 2 additional product analysts in a dotted-line capacity. Support analysts’ growth through coaching, feedback, and technical mentorship. Contribute to encouraging a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within our centralised Analytics team. Act as a hands-on individual contributor when needed—guiding project prioritization, crafting analytical approaches, and ensuring high-quality, impactful delivery. Collaborator Management: Act as a trusted partner for senior collaborators, primarily in Marketing, to promote alignment and provide actionable insights. Foster positive relationships across the organization to influence decision-making and champion a data-first approach. Strategy and Insights: Drive the definition and evolution of key business metrics to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Use data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities, inform strategy formulation, and shape product roadmaps. Coordinate App or dedication feature product experimentation efforts, ensuring robust methodologies and clear insights to guide decision-making. Performance Reporting and Business Impact: Carry out quality performance reviews (passionate about App and Retention), connecting information and clarifying performance factors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and recommend actions to optimize performance. Team Prioritization and Focus: Support teams in effectively prioritizing initiatives to align with business goals and collaborator needs. Balance competing demands on the analytics team, ensuring resources are allocated to high-impact, strategic priorities. Actively communicate trade-offs and timelines with collaborators to manage expectations and ensure focus on value creation. Key Qualifications:Experience:
Strong track record with experience in analytics and insights, with a track record of success in leadership roles. Expertise in people management and talent development. Technical and Analytical Skills: Deep knowledge of analytics frameworks and techniques, business intelligence tools, and data visualization platforms. Strong understanding of experimentation, metrics definition, and business reporting processes. Strong grasp of analytical frameworks and techniques, with hands-on experience using tools such as Databricks (or similar SQL-based platforms) for large-scale data analysis). Leadership and Collaborator Engagement: Outstanding relationship-building and influencing abilities, especially with senior leaders (in product and engineering departments would be a bonus). A strategic problem solver who can balance short-term priorities with long-term vision. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across diverse teams. Ability to manage complexity, navigate ambiguity, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
