Principal Responsibilities:

Mine, analyze and model large structured and unstructured data and apply advanced statistical, predictive models and leading machine learning algorithms to explore strategic solutions and actionable recommendationsDrive commercialization of advanced analytics-led solutions with appropriate methodology, manage the business application effectively and evaluate the results rigorouslyHighly sensitive to state of business and anticipative of business problems and priorities.Contribute to team development, effectiveness and success by driving the build-up and delivery of AI/machine learning solutionsExplore the data and conduct quantitative analysis to ascertain root cause of business' issues, identifies opportunities and effective targeting for business growth potentialCollaborate and influence a wide range of partners / stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of AI/machine learning solutions with well defined performance measurementEnsure timely and quality analytics deliverables to satisfy business needs effectively under the dynamic business environmentSharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with different parties to create a productive, diverse and supportive working environmentAdhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional and project activities.

University degree in in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related disciplineMinimum 10 years' working experience in analytics, modelling and machine learning/AI/Generative AIWith proven experience of people management or collaboration with offshore teamExtensive experience and skill in mining massive volume of data for quick insight discoveryIn depth knowledge and experience with machine learning techniques and algorithmsProficient in Python/R, SQL/BigQuery, Tableau/QlikSense on environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a mustExperience with embedding techniques, RAG, promptings and LLM fine-tuning, involvement in search engine or recommendation system is a plusExperience in machine learning model/AI/Generative AI related risk and control governanceAbility to communicate with impact, with the capacity to ensure complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to a wide and varied audienceEffective communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem solving, presentation skill and strong business acumenGreat sense of ownership and servicing mind-set to ensure efficient and effective customer service delivery
