Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.

About the role

 

Reporting to the Analytics Manager – Payments, the Senior Analytics Specialist is responsible for collecting and providing valuable insights and reporting to relevant stakeholder groups, to help optimise the operations of the Payments platform.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Partner and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to gather requirements & report specifications Drive design, development, and maintenance of a suite of vendor / client facing Power BI dashboards and reports Collect, integrate and mine data within databases and internal cloud data storage platforms enabling the generation of reports and dashboards Building financial models within visualisation and data query tools combining Invoice analysis, rates analysis and variance analysis at end of each financial period Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting to business, finance and regulatory stakeholders Identify, analyse, and assist fraud team to manage, and provide recommendations for loss mitigation as needed. Support LCM activities and marketing campaigns to drive growth of our payments digital wallet

 

About you and your skills

 

Advanced SQL skills with exposure to data engineering concepts. Experience with Snowflake preferred Demonstrable experience across the Microsoft Technology suite of products including competency with Power BI and Excel Strong data analysis and reporting experience Scripting and building formatted reports with visualisations. Task scheduler and administration Ability to combine data result sets from multiple systems Experience in the financial services industry or background in finance is desirable
