Senior Android Engineer
TeamSnap is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to help us continue our impressive growth from 2+ million daily active users to beyond!
What You’ll DoDevelop engaging experiences for our many Android usersDesign and implement a scalable app, integrating it into an evolving unified product and systemBrainstorm and evaluate new product features in collaboration with the product and UX teamsCollaborate and pair with other developers to develop solutions and teach technical skillsContribute to our development standards within the team and across engineering to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and identify opportunities for improvementChampion app reliability and stability, including progressing automated testing practicesActively engage in on-call responsibilities and contribute to incident management effortsEvaluate and test new technologies to help TeamSnap move faster or serve our users more effectively
What Will Set You Up for Success:4+ years working experience in Android DevelopmentExperience with the full mobile development lifecycle from concept to Google Play StoreFamiliarity with the current mobile landscape and keeping up-to-date with the current trends, emerging technology, best practices, and modern development approachesProficient in Kotlin and asynchronous programming techniques (RxJava or Kotlin Coroutines)Strong knowledge of Android Architecture Components including ViewModel, Lifecycle-aware components, and the navigation graph with the ability to put all of these parts together to achieve a solid architecture end-to-end (MVVM)Hands-on experience integrating APIs and services for mobile applications at scale.Sensibility around mobile design and UXBonus points: Experience with Jetpack Compose UI (or excited to learn it!)Bonus points: A solid understanding of the concept of dependency injection (e.g. Hilt, Dagger, Koin)

CompensationWe’re committed to equitable compensation for all TeamSnappers. The minimum starting point for this role is $165,750 inclusive of base and bonus, with comp updated based on multiple factors. Our comp is highly competitive in our space and we adjust overall comp based on relevant experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
