Senior API Inspector– Prudhoe Bay, AK

Pay Range: $60/hour

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Facility Inspector will lead all contract inspection activities within their designated area(s) of responsibility. The work schedule will be a rotational hitch of 21 days on followed by 21 days off. Daily work shifts will be 12 hours, including a paid 30-minute lunch break.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES: 

Responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and management of all Mistras Inspection activities within their area(s) of responsibility. Perform API and CWI inspections of weldments, piping, tanks and pressure vessels Strong Field Presence Maintain a strong relationship with their customers. Maintain a Safety conscience work environment. Maintain compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures on the project. Demonstration of strong leadership by being accessible to all employees. Effective communication with customer to ensure 100% customer satisfaction with overall project. Maintain exceptional HSE record. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Current API-570, API-653 and API-510 Certifications with 8 years of relevant experience AWS – CWI Certification Rope Access Certified Basic understanding of damage mechanisms Ability to read P&ID's and circuitize piping systems based on process service, materials and temperatures Ability to follow and draft standard piping isometric drawings Strong understanding of NDT techniques, applications and limitations Ability to prepare and review formal inspection reports Ability to provide mentoring and other feedback as necessary to personnel within AOR Experience working with an Inspection Data Management System (IDMS), Preferably PCMS Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel Strong problem solving skills. Ability to effectively plan inspection daily work scopes, ability to forecast timelines and target dates for project completion estimates based on given work scopes. Exceptional safety record Team building capabilities Strong leadership qualities Strong knowledge of process equipment Strong analytical skills Strong organizational skills

PREFFERED ATTRIBUTES: 

Current level II NDT certifications in RT, MT, PT & UTT IRRSP / State Card UTSW / PAUT NACE-CIP 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to tolerate working in extreme climates (subzero temperatures) for extended periods of time Must be able to tolerate numerous hours spent stooping, crawling, kneeling, standing and walking. Must be comfortable working in cramped or confined spaces. Must wear required protective and safety equipment (cold weather gear, safety glasses, hard hats, etc.)
