Our work depends on a Senior Appian Developer joining our team to design and develop mission-critical software delivery pipelines that are essential to the support of our high-profile government clients. HOW A SENIOR APPIAN DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Design and develop fully automated software delivery pipelinesEfficiently collaborate within and across agile teams to maximize productivityDevelop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and similarly engage in all agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectivesEliminate roadblocks and hindrances preventing teams from delivering softwareAssist the team in documenting and leveraging cloud and DevOps best practices during acceptance testing cycles; performs testing with thoroughness and great attention to detailCollaborate with team members on all project-related testing, help to develop team UI QA standards, and communicate effectively across the organization to adhere to stringent timelinesEnsure that QA processes and procedures for test environments are followed and that the integrity of the various environments is not compromisedReview and provide feedback on test scriptsCoordinate testing with additional team members as neededCollaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand the requirements and translate them into Appian designsDevelop custom Appian solutions using Appian BPM softwareIntegrate Appian applications with other systems and databasesPerform unit testing, code reviews, and troubleshoot Appian applicationsCreate and maintain technical documentation for Appian applicationsStay updated on the latest Appian features and functionalities to enhance the performance of applications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field

Required Experience: 5+ years of Appian development experience, preferably within BPM

Required Technical Skills:

Appian Level 1 or 2 CertifiedExperience in Agile, Java, API's, Web Services, integrationsProficient with Appian BPM and complex SQL database structuresExperience with integrations with external systemsAbility to scope Appian Projects

Required Skills and Abilities:

Experience owning project backlog, schedule and ensuring project team delivers high quality work consistently and on time

Security Clearance Level: Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust

Location: Hybrid (1 – 2 days per week) at GDIT site in Gaithersburg, MD. Developer must be local to District of Columbia – Maryland – Virginia area.  

**Must have resided in the US for 3+ years**
