Senior Application Analyst MAPICS - Infor XA

MAPICS Applications techno functional Analyst with 5 years plus of experience in IT field and working on an ERP solution. Experience and familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems, specifically Infor XA ERP (MAPICS) required. Under moderate supervision, the ERP Applications Analyst’s role is to define, analyze, develop, test and maintain custom and third-party software applications, with an emphasis on Infor Mapics XA ERP software and subsystems. This will also include research, design, documentation, and modifying software specifications throughout the production life cycle. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of business functions, processes and practices and will work closely with our technical partners and Business Engagement to optimize the effectiveness of technology, against all business levels.

What you will do:

Provide input and work with project teams to implement company initiatives.MAPICS 9.2 (Infor XA), Warehouse, Distribution and OM knowledge is preferredAnalyze system transactions in MAPICS 9.2 (Infor XA) to provide feedback to the team for process improvements.Maintain, update, and configure application programs to support business processes using CLLE, RPG IV, ILE, and embedded SQL.Provide problem resolution and on-call technical support for production software issues or system problems including identification, research, resolution and documentation of root cause.Develop programs and customizations to support business process.Work with Business Engagement and end users to analyze, design, test, implement and support ERP business solutions.Assist with installation and configuration of third-party software.Create and maintain documentation for code and/or configuration throughout the software life cycle.Develop detailed technical design and test specifications in accordance with SDLC strategies.Identify and manage risks throughout the project life cycle to avoid business disruptions.Shape and adhere to development standards and IT best practices.Prioritize workload in support of business objectives.Work on projects and change order requests as assigned.Provide support for user tickets within specific SLA’s.Work with third party vendors to interface systems and provide problem resolution.Analyze requirements and provide feedback to the user community.Resolve system and software issues as needed.Attend team meetings as required and provide ideas to the team.Keep your manager up to date on assigned tasks.Provide support to the daily operations.Analyze, respond to and resolve system errors and resolve daily user request for support.Must be familiar with company handbook.Other duties as required or assigned by company management.

What you need to succeed:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of associate’s degree and experience.5+ years of proven experience within large manufacturing and distribution operations5+ years of experience working with an ERP system – with heavy emphasis in Distribution and Order Management, specifically Infor XA ERP (MAPICS) required.Demonstrated experience with supporting major ERP upgrades and/or implementations.Experience developing comprehensive business requirements, functional design documents, completing impact assessments, and contributing to business cases that identify value of the change.Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate effectively with others in person and remotely.Excellent communication skills with all levels.  Proven ability to lead and communicate orally, in written documents, and in formal presentations is required.Team player, change agent, and customer-driven mentality.Analytical approach to problem-solving, solid conceptual skills and willingness to learn, sense of urgency and commitment for a job well done.Strong work ethic, results oriented.Solid understanding of data integrity and audit / compliance procedures
