A    ACCOUNTABILITY:

This position is responsible for application development for physical foam focused on footwear market and technical support for North Asia region(South Korea, Japan and South East Asia) which contribute business growth in Asia Pacific.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up the test capability SCF injection foaming Develop related application for SCF injection foaming process mainly for footwear application in APAC Fulfill technical work request, design experiment, perform lab bench work to analysis and write up report to meet technical targets of customer projects. Develop related application processing skill and knowledge, and train customer’s lab technician, and provide technical service/ trouble shooting in the field. Work closely with footwear marketing team and customer for exploring new application development opportunities, studying feasibilities and implementing project. Define the planning and prioritization of projects and manage the execution of the plan in line with Estane project guidelines, ensure that project objectives, deliverables, and milestones are met, within the agreed budget, timing and quality standards. Develop the customized test protocols / simulation capabilities and create the application database. Give the technical presentation to customers and commercial partners, keep close contact with the industry and be updated with the latest technology developments. Manage communication with Lubrizol technical community, update on new applications development and new processing technology development activities. Support requirements with other technical personnel in the region.

 

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

 

Education Background: Master’s Degree in chemistry and polymer or mechanics related field.

 

Technical Skills: Over 5 years’ experience in foam industry (thermoplastic foam not PU foam) Physical foaming process technology will be preferred Extrusion or injection molding technology will be preferred.

 

Other Experiences Preferred: Min. 5 years working experience of product and application development at multinational national chemical company, additional technical service experiences are beneficial. Foam and footwear industry experience In-depth understanding of polymer structure-processing-property relationship, hands-on experience in polymer formulation designing & processing.  Strong analytical and problem anticipation & solving skills; innovative, ability to think outside the box and generate creative approaches. Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication and listening skills; ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences (internal & external) Highly motivated towards goals & objectives. Excellent organization and planning skills; multitasking. Fluency in oral and written English communication and good presentation skills are needed.
