Senior Architect, Cloud Services
**What’s the role** The Senior Architect, Cloud Services, specializes in B2B product development and has experience in full stack development and DevOps. **What you'll do** + Define technical solutions in a multi-cloud environment for converged infrastructure in B2B datacenters, encompassing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models, including compute, networking, and storage platforms, to meet product portfolio requirements. + Design, install, and transition converged infrastructure to operational teams, supporting IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS delivery models. + Collaborate with server and application owners to ensure redundancy, resiliency, and failover capabilities are aligned across the virtual network platform. + Monitor and track key performance and capacity indicators. + Contribute to CapEx and OpEx budget consolidation. + Research, identify, and propose new tools or standards to optimize the virtual environment. + Participate in tiered support models for critical network-related issues, coordinating with vendors and partners for escalation and resolution. + Work closely with InfoSec to ensure governance, security, data privacy, and compliance best practices are implemented. + Research, evaluate, and recommend best practices for network operations, creating runbooks, training, and knowledge sharing. + Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate and optimize CI/CD pipelines. + Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration tasks. + Implement and monitor containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) solutions. + Ensure system scalability, security, and high availability. + Troubleshoot and resolve deployment and production issues. + Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging DevOps tools. **Preferred Education/ qualifications:** + Systems Engineer, Electronic Engineer, or Electrical Engineer. **Knowledge & Experience:** + 5+ years of specific experience in designing, planning, installing, and supporting converged datacenter infrastructures. + 5+ years of experience designing, installing, and supporting large-scale data center architectures, mainly based on Intel X.86 platforms and/or public cloud solutions. + Cisco CCNP data center or equivalent certification (can be based on public cloud environments), with strong knowledge of other vendors, including IBM and HP. + Extensive technical expertise in one or more virtualization vendors: VMware, KVM, OpenStack, Azure, AWS. + Proficiency in networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. + Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and incidents simultaneously. + Experience with load balancers, mobility technologies, virtual networking, NFV, DCI, software-defined networking (SDN), storage orchestration (SO), and WAN architecture. + Basic knowledge of SQL and shell scripting. + Professional certifications like CCIE, JNCIS, AWS, etc., are preferred. + Availability to travel regularly. + Expertise in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash). + Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). + Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI). + Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). + Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Azure, GCP). + Solid grasp of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles **Who We Are** We are the leading telecommunications company, connecting more than 40 markets in Latin America and the Caribbean with our video, broadband internet, telephony, and mobile services under the consumer brands, Flow, Liberty, Más Móvil, BTC, and Cabletica.
