As the BI-architect you will work with an international organized project team to enhance existing Data warehouse systems for our business partner PnP. Your knowledge will be very valuable for the team. This also include topics like data design, BI application design, updates of our infrastructure and many more. Together, you will collaborate on building, enhancing, and operating our cutting-edge PnP Data Warehouse systems, leveraging advanced technologies such as Oracle, Informatica, Cognos, Tableau, and more. 
Key Responsibilities:•\tDesigning and developing the architecture of information systems and business intelligence solutions. This includes creating high-level and detailed designs that align with business requirements and industry best practices.•\tdefine data models and structures that support the organization's analytical and reporting needs. This involves designing logical and physical data models, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing data storage and retrieval.•\tWork closely with stakeholders such as business users, data analysts, and IT teams to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure that the architecture meets the needs of the organization.•\tEvaluate and select technology tools and solutions that support data integration, data modeling, reporting, and analytics. They stay up to date with emerging trends and advancements in the field to make informed decisions.•\tMonitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize system configurations to ensure optimal performance of the data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.•\tEstablish and enforce data security and governance policies and procedures. They ensure that data is protected, compliant with regulations, and accessible to authorized users.•\tProvide technical guidance and support to development teams, assisting with troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and ensuring adherence to architectural principles and standards.•\tLead small implementation projects.  Ready to embark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for: •\tProfessional in Information Technology, with more than 5 years management experience in a multinational company as architect on big data warehouse systems•\tKnowledge in different data modeling and architecture approaches (Kimball, Data Vault 2.0, …)•\tExperience in requirements engineering.•\tExcellent understanding of business intelligence architecture•\tExperienced in working in multi-cultural environment.•\tProvide guidance and support to team members, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication.•\tSolid technical understanding of complex system integration and networking architecture.•\tGraduate in a technical and business-related discipline - MBA or equivalent.

Great TeamHi, my name is Holger Abend and I’m a team manager. I started my career at DHL IT Services back in 2007, when I took a role as Student in cooperative Education in the HR team. Gaining more hands-on experience with databases has always fascinated me, so I moved to the production data analysis team. From there, I moved fast through the company ladder and soon landed a Head of BI Solutions role. In 2022, I moved to a management role, being Head of Subdomain PnP BI Solutions.
