Senior Architect II, Enterprise Data Management – Architecture & Modeling

Neuberger Berman is seeking a Senior Architect I to support the firm’s enterprise data initiatives. This individual will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable data architecture and robust data models to meet the firm's growing analytics and business intelligence needs. **Responsibilities:**
+ Design and implement enterprise-wide data architecture to support scalable, high-performance, and secure data solutions that meet business requirements.
+ Develop and maintain logical and physical data models, ensuring alignment with business goals and data governance principles while collaborating with Enterprise Data Governance to align with the firm’s conceptual data model.
+ Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure seamless integration of data models into the firm’s data platform and pipelines.
+ Establish and enforce data modeling standards, best practices, and guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and reusability across the organization.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and translate them into actionable data architecture and modeling strategies.
+ Optimize data structures and schemas to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives.
+ Evaluate and adopt emerging tools and technologies to enhance the firm’s data architecture and modeling capabilities, ensuring alignment with the evolving data ecosystem.
+ Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence in data architecture.
**Requirements:**
+ Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or related roles.
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a Master’s or equivalent experience in a relevant field being a plus.
+ Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise data models for large-scale systems, with expertise in tools such as Erwin, PowerDesigner, or similar.
+ Strong understanding of data architecture principles, including normalization, dimensional modeling, and schema design.
+ Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms and services, such as Snowflake, AWS or Azure.
+ Deep understanding of modern data frameworks, including relational and non-relational databases, data lakes, and big data technologies.
+ Familiarity with metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging tools to support enterprise data governance initiatives.
+ Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Highly collaborative approach with the ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
+ Ability to solve complex data problems and design innovative solutions leveraging modern data technologies.
**Leadership:**
+ Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment. Effective at communicating technical concepts and strategic priorities to a wide range of audiences.
+ Highly driven and results-oriented, with a passion for delivering high-impact solutions.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $140,000-$175,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
