a day in the life: what you’ll do

Support delivery teams in the development of detailed solution roadmaps for initiatives around integration systems and data platforms across consumer experiences. Provide input and thought leadership on the use of shared models, re-usable architecture and implementation implications. Create technical specifications, design documents and data mapping, keeping in mind the best practices of integration design and architecture. Lead capacity planning activities to ensure that data and integration can handle additional transactions in the future. Partner with engineers and project management to ensure that implementation meets design expectations. Help define project requirements and success criteria along with guiding the design throughout the development lifecycle. Participate and present at architecture design reviews. Evaluate, document, and escalate alterations to future state architectures. Communicate tradeoffs in different types of engineering and architecture processes and adjust the team’s process to meet the needs of the project. 


Telecommuting permitted 40%. 


40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or a related field plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in information technology.5 years of experience developing, deploying, scaling and maintaining software systems, including at least 3 years with cloud-based services.5 years of hands-on experience using computer, networking, storage, and database components of one of the following: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP or Alibaba Cloud.5 years of integration architecture design experience for platforms including APIM (Apigee), Kafka (Confluence), and Kubernetes (EKS or AKS).3 years of experience designing for specific security threat models, based on basic and advanced security and compliance aspects of cloud platform primitives.3 years of experience describing the key services of a given cloud platform to non-technical stakeholders and selecting appropriately for given use cases such as compute, storage, and analytics.3 years of experience developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses.2 years of experience working closely with SAAS vendor product teams developing technical roadmaps internally, aligning them with internal technical roadmaps, and ensuring they meet deliverable requirements.2 years of experience working with technical stakeholders such as business/systems analysts and the architecture community, modernizing technology integration pathways aiding in the reduction of manual tasks and/or unsupported data transmission methods.1 year of experience creating tech or infrastructure roadmaps and road mapping accordingly towards a cloud based future state.

Workplace arrangement 

This role is classified as Hybrid under our SSC Workplace Policy: 

 In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.

Compensation and Benefits Package

For Washington Applicants: lululemon’s compensation offerings are rooted in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position in Washington is from $174,624.00 – 194,624.00 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our competitive Total Rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
