Senior Architect - Mission Critical (Chicago)

Mission Critical is an international practice for Burns & McDonnell involving exciting, collaborative work across many departments. Responsibilities: + Provide project team leadership and coordination for finished plans, specification, and material selections; ensure design intent is incorporated into the construction documentation. + Mentor and lead teams in the production of accurate technical and contract documentation for project construction. + Mentor and lead construction administration duties including; bid review and support, site visits, address technical issues, and improve quality during construction. + Work with government and regulatory agencies to achieve overall project schedule and objectives. + Manage, mentor and recruit talent including resources to produce 3D software renderings and critical presentations. **Qualifications** + Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program is required. + 8 years of architectural experience, consulting preferred. + Registered Architect preferred. + Expert knowledge in standard architectural techniques and procedures. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Expert computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) + Expert computer skills (e.g. BIM (Revit), Adobe Suites, and 3D rendering programs). + Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills. + Expert attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills. + Experience with leading the design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members.
