Our client is continuing to expand and is looking for a Senior Architectural Designer to join the Drafting and Design Team. This position offers career development and growth and allows for opportunities to make a significant impact and contribute ideas throughout the design process. The Senior Architectural Designer is responsible for the creation and management of 3D modeling, working drawings, and concept floor plans to ensure residential homes are designed to meet high standards.

Senior Architectural Designer Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Design Team to produce 3D models, working drawings, and plot plans for single-family homes. Push boundaries to create original floor plans and elevations,   Adapt to changes and take on new design challenges as the company continues to grow. Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to model, design, and draft residential homes. Ensure that designs meet all relevant standards, building codes, and client specifications. Coordinate with other teams to ensure that designs are executed accurately and within the required timelines. Lead and supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and ensuring quality control in the design process. Apply knowledge of residential construction and local bylaws to create efficient and compliant designs. Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and external partners to ensure project alignment.
The Successful Candidate Has:
A diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent. 6+ years of experience in the single-family residential industry. Experience in a managerial/supervisory role is considered an asset. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. A sense of urgency and attention to detail. Knowledge of residential construction, prior residential drafting experience, and a working knowledge of Calgary’s bylaws would be considered assets.
Compensation and Benefits:
$90,000-$105,000 Comprehensive benefits package. Opportunities for career growth and development within the company. RRSP match Bonus structure
