The Associate will be required to have a hands-on approach, to be on the ground and also be able to evaluate issues with a broad perspective with the company’s interests in mind. Apart from 3PL Management, the candidate will be managing RedMart’s fleet which will require them to liaise with cross functional teams such as procurement as well as external fleet stakeholders.

Monitoring Day-to-Day Last Mile operations
1) Monitor Delivery representative (DR) Attendance of 3PL partners in their respective Operational zones
- Working with 3PLs to ensure sufficient daily fleet drivers’ strength

2) Supervise and direct activities for Last Mile delivery operations
- Ensuring all routes are attended to by their respective DRs on time
- Liaise with the In-house Driver fleet and Routing team for Ad-hoc exigencies

3) Oversee Day-to-Day operations done by the 3PLs and measure their overall performance and growth with the main operational KPIs.
- Delivery on time (DOT)
- Failed Deliveries (FD)
- Short Ships (SS)
- Late Deliveries / Early Deliveries
- Customer Experience

4) Analyse key operations indicators/metrics and highlight anomalies and/or trends that can be used for continuous improvement

Cross functional collaboration with Teams
1) To work with cross functional teams to meet set Targets for Last Mile 3PLs
- Work with Training team to create onboarding program and materials for 3PLs to adhere to for new Delivery representatives (DR)
- Work closely with Quality Assurance Team to ensure 3PLs are maintaining quality of RedMart’s products / Shipments during delivery
- Work closely with the Customer Experience team for any major escalations pertaining to Last Mile 3PL DRs

2) Able to optimize or introduce work processes to enhance Last Mile performance and quality for 3PLs using Technology / Business Intelligence (BI)

Relationship Management with 3PLs
1) Build a working relationship and rapport with Last Mile 3PLs
2) Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in last mile performance
3) Review delivery contractor performance and identify areas for where efficiencies can be gained in last mile delivery
4) Ensure delivery contractor buy in for the rolling out of new operational requirements and initiatives
5) Respond to 3PL queries, validations and issues related to routes and performance

Fleet Management
1) Liaise with Leasing partners and 3PLs on Fleet management and cost recovery
2) Conflict and incident resolution for fleet related matters
3) Identify opportunities for Environmental and Sustainable growth

Process Optimization and Transformation
1) Review and interpret operational data to identify operational issues/gaps and provide solutions to optimize service levels
2) Generate and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions
