Job Description
Job Summary: Maymont Homes is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Senior Associate to join our Asset Management team. This individual will be instrumental in optimizing the performance of our growing single-family rental portfolio by supporting strategy development, property operations, and financial analysis. The Senior Associate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including acquisitions, property management, and finance to refine strategies, drive operational efficiencies, and enhance portfolio value. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in real estate asset management, financial analysis, and portfolio optimization, with a keen focus on contributing to long-term growth and value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Strategic Oversight: Support the execution of business plans for multiple investment vehicles within our SFR portfolio, ensuring alignment with company goals and market conditions
+ Dispositions Strategy: Lead execution of dispositions strategies across portfolios to maximize returns and meet fund objectives, identifying optimal exit points and enhancing portfolio value
+ Onboarding New Investments: Manage the onboarding of new acquisitions, including the coordination of communication, reporting processes, and developing and executing a comprehensive “100-day plan” to ensure smooth integration and alignment with business objectives
+ Portfolio Offboarding: Facilitate the offboarding process for portfolio dispositions, ensuring seamless transitions and cross-departmental collaboration
+ Financial Analysis & Performance Optimization: Conduct ongoing financial analysis (e.g., hold-sell decisions, leasing strategies, capital expenditures) to identify areas for value enhancement and operational improvement
+ Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with teams in Acquisitions, Property Management, Leasing, and Finance to assess and refine operational strategies, drive efficiency, and optimize the performance of assets within the portfolio
+ Investment Modeling: Develop advanced financial models to assess the potential impact of various strategies on fund performance, guiding data-driven decision-making and long-term portfolio management
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree with a focus in real estate, finance, business, accounting, or a related field; MBA is a plus
+ 7-10 years of experience in real estate, specifically in portfolio management, investment banking, real estate investment, or property management, preferably with a focus on single-family rental homes or residential real estate
+ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to develop complex financial models and perform in-depth financial analysis.
+ A results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering value through operational efficiencies and strategic decision-making
+ Ability to collaborate effectively across departments to drive portfolio performance
+ Manage projects to established standards and a cadence for communications and reporting
Working Conditions:
+ This position will be in office at our Charleston, SC headquarters
+ Flexible hours may be necessary to accommodate different time zones and urgent requests
