Job Description:

The Senior Associate, Contracts will assist the Contracts Lead in support of L3Harris Range and Test Systems and the Navigation Systems Teams. Will assist in the management of large, complex contracts and initiatives of substantial importance to the organization. Utilizes working knowledge of regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations.

Essential Functions:

Analyzes significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and corporate policies and proceduresProtects the interest of the company by understanding and interpreting contractual terms and conditionsProvides business, contractual and risk mitigation strategy guidanceManages the contractual review of solicitations, proposal development, negotiation, contract change control process (contract modifications) and overall contract administrationEstablishes and maintains contractual interface with the customer Maximizes cash through innovative contract formation and negotiation to achieve business objectivesAbility to travel – approximate 10% travel required, specific percentage of travel to be negotiated Ability to work extended hours when required May manage projects or processes with moderate supervision Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and proceduresRecommends enhancements to systems and processesWorks to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results

Qualifications:

Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.2-5 years of experience in profession with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of Contracts function  Secret Clearance desired (or ability to receive a Secret Clearance). Clearance not required at time of hire.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning databases (SAP or CostPoint Preferred)Strong Communication skillsStrong Customer interface skills

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $67K - $125K. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
