Team Description

The Philippines’ Enforcement Team supports the Platform Safety, Quality, and Fraud Team’s operation. We are responsible for conducting in-depth investigations of platform-related incidents by conducting interviews with our driver-partners and passengers, ensuring compliance with orders and requests for information from relevant authorities, as well as liaising and partnering with relevant government authorities to maintain the Platform’s safety and quality. We also help influence the overall strategic direction of the company by supporting the top management with risk management and safety insights and advisory. Through the team’s commitment to constant development and innovation in line with business direction and safety policies, the fair and equal implementation of Grab’s Driver/Delivery Partner Guidelines is continuously upheld.

The Team helps in promoting a safe and secure Grab platform for both Passenger and Driver-Partner. As a team, we are involved with day-to-day activities that include providing expertise and advice for the effective and efficient functioning of all investigation processes and enforcement-related issues.

Successful candidates will work on multi-dimensional and cross-functional projects, with our regional teams and external partners to tackle real-time issues, to deliver the safest experience for all our users on our platform. Platform safety is Grab’s number one priority and you will be required to manage and influence stakeholders across the different functions and business verticals, both existing and emerging, to ensure that we deliver a safe experience for all users. We are focused on our external users - from drivers to passengers; merchants to consumers - and we seek to create a safer everyday for all of them as Grab grows to become an everyday superapp.

 

Job Role and Purpose:

Introduce and implement strategic and innovative measures to strengthen platform quality and safety through government, law enforcement, and private sector coordination.Ensure compliance with information and compliance requests from various government agencies and law enforcement authorities.Create and strengthen avenues for partnerships with law enforcement authorities, regulatory bodies, and local government agencies, to ensure the safety and security of the platform.

 

Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As External Affairs and Compliance Senior Associate, the following are the main areas of focus:

Assisting in drafting responses to requests for information and relevant documents from various government agenciesCreating and maintaining a database of all information requests and open cases to ensure the platform’s compliance with these requestsConducting in-depth research and fact-finding regarding ongoing safety and regulatory concerns and identifying pathways for prevention and management of risks and resolution of issuesBuilding and maintaining a working relationship with relevant government authorities and law enforcement agencies to continuously strengthen platform safety and qualityExecuting distinct tasks following clearly defined internal processes accurately, timely, and with minimal guidance.

Qualifications

What you'll need to have:

At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field including Political Science, Mass Communication, Journalism, or Communications. etc.Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standardsDemonstrated ability to work independently and make complex decisions with little to no guidanceExcellent problem-solving/decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skillsExcellent investigative and analytical skillsOutstanding spoken and written communication skills in both English and Filipino, with exceptional attention to detailDemonstrated experience in dealing with and creating working relationships and partnerships with government bodies and regulatory agenciesExperience in formulating and implementing strategic communications and partnership plans concerning external partners

What would be good to have:

Able to identify bottlenecks in the process and consequently propose well-thought-out solutions and process improvementsExcellent data-keeping and management skills and well-versed in ExcelPrevious experience in or exposure to preparation of legal documents Experience in government relations or government-related workAbility and willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
