Senior Associate, Financial Instruments and Technology

The Kroll's Financial Instruments and Technology practice is a leading solutions provider for asset managers, hedge funds, fund administrators, banks, insurers, private equity firms, commodity trading and investment firms, and corporations.

 

The individual will be an integral member of a small, dynamic, and highly talented team and will report directly to the Service Line Leader. This role will be responsible for internal Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”), practice operational leadership, improving internal processes and systems, and leading new initiatives to assist in the growth of the group.

 

Day-to-day responsibilities: 

Communicate with the service line leader and project managers to promote accurate and efficient financial reporting  Improve internal systems and assist the Financial Instruments and Technology team transition from excel based FP&A to a Power BI system Write detailed financial reports, organize summaries of key takeaways, and build internal presentations. Creatively develop and execute solutions to promote operational efficiencies Collaborate with internal and external parties to help the practice to deliver on strategic development initiatives  Lead calls across multiple verticals within the team to promote collaboration and execute specific operational goals Articulate and defend the results of your analysis under scrutiny

 

Essential traits: 

Bachelors, in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or a related discipline. Master's degree or further accreditation (e.g., CFA) is beneficial.  2+ years of relevant work experience in operations, finance, or strategic execution (Fewer years of relevant experience will be considered for candidates with higher academic qualifications) Proven project management and organizational skills Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, and Power BI required  Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets Capable of collaborating and coordinating across different groups within Kroll  Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, comfortable speaking with senior management  Ability to manage confidential, sensitive information Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to master new tasks quickly Effective interpersonal, comprehension and written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated leadership experience and strong personal integrity Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments in a team environment and balance long-term development priorities with short-term deliverables Experience working with diverse teams

The current salary range for this position is $80,000 to $175,000
