Senior Associate, Restructuring, L3

As a Senior Associate in Kroll’s Restructuring business, you will take risks and adopt change to solve problems. You will be a team player and have innovative ideas. We are seeking ambitious individuals with 2 to 4 years’ experience to join our growing team in the British Virgin Islands.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Hands-on experience in forensic or insolvency engagements such as official and voluntary liquidations, receivership, restructuring, valuation, contentious litigation support, asset tracing and forensic accounting investigations (preferably under English-based regimes). Knowledge of financial services and/or the asset management sector.  Experience in offshore insolvency and complex cross-border matters, particularly across BVI, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, USA and PRC jurisdictions is a bonus. Strong analytical skills and experience in books and record reviews, management of creditor claims and fund flow investigations.  Ability to quickly understand and analyse companies’ financial performance Experience in support of participation in legal claims, such as professional negligence and breach of fiduciary duties Experience in drafting whole or sections of expert and other reports to court, committees of inspection and other creditors Experience working with senior management of companies, clients, creditors as well as external advisors such as consultants, auditors and lawyers Assisting business development activities and client relationship management Working in a dynamic organisation across geographies in US, Asia, Europe and other offshore jurisdictions

Essential Traits:  

Bachelor degree or higher in finance, accounting or business administration Currently studying or newly qualified chartered accountant or similar (e.g. CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA) with training for the big 4 or global B-tier firm. Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience, including insolvency, restructuring and forensic investigations, with offshore experience a distinct advantage Driven, displays leadership skills, influences others as well as collaborative problem solver; Risk tolerant and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment  Good business sense and commercial acumen Strong financial, business analytical and report writing skills High level of attention to detail Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) Strong people and client management skills Proficiency in Microsoft suite, as well as management information and database systems
