Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations - Delivery Quality
DoorDash
About the Team
DoorDash’s Commerce Platform powers merchants with the tools they need to grow and operate their businesses—both in-store and online. Drive On-Demand is a key component of this platform, providing white-label fulfillment solutions for merchants across verticals such as Grocery, Convenience, Retail, Alcohol, Health, and more.
As part of the Commerce Platform Logistics team, we own cost and quality for the Non-Restaurant (NonRx) business—ensuring that DoorDash Commerice Platform is the most reliable way for merchants to reach their customers through their first-party channels. This means improving fulfillment quality, reducing refund-related costs, and building scalable solutions to enhance customer and merchant experiences.
About the Role
At DoorDash, we believe that the reliability and quality of our service is our competitive advantage, and we are looking for a leader who is passionate about building a seamless delivery experience for consumers and merchants. As a Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations – Delivery Quality, you will play a key role in analyzing, tracking, and improving delivery quality, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify trends, scope impactful initiatives, and support the execution of quality improvement strategies.
Your work will be both strategic and deeply operational. One day, you might be sizing the impact of key product initiatives to support long-term quality improvements. The next day, you could be deep-diving into customer satisfaction (CSAT) data to uncover the root causes of customer pain points and leading an experiment to drive real-world improvements.
As the part of this team, you will:
+ Track and analyze quality metrics across different lines of business and strategic merchants.
+ Support the development of internal reporting tools to measure and monitor quality improvement efforts.
+ Conduct deep-dives into refund data to identify key drivers of quality-related costs.
+ Partner with Analytics and Product teams to scope and assess initiatives that can improve quality.
+ Assist in structuring and executing operational tests to identify solutions for reducing defects like lateness or missing items.
+ Engage with cross-functional teams to support initiatives that enhance merchant and customer experience.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
+ Support quality initiatives that improve fulfillment reliability across Grocery, Convenience, Retail, Alcohol, Health, and more.
+ Analyze key quality metrics and contribute to defining north star metrics that track performance improvements.
+ Partner with GMs to analyze and improve merchants’ customer satisfaction metrics through data-driven insights and execution.
+ Assist in reducing refund-related costs, ensuring that quality improvements translate into tangible cost savings.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Analytics, Engineering, and Operations) to identify key levers for quality improvement.
+ Run structured experiments and operational tests to uncover the best ways to improve fulfillment quality.
We’re excited about you because…
+ You have strong analytical skills and can use data to identify trends, uncover root causes, and drive informed decision-making.
+ You are execution-focused and can break down complex problems into actionable steps.
+ You thrive in a cross-functional environment and are comfortable working with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations teams.
+ You are highly detail-oriented and have a strong ability to organize, track, and analyze performance data.
+ You have a bias for action and can operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
+ You are customer- and merchant-obsessed and excited to help merchants scale their first-party fulfillment through Drive On-Demand.
+ You are comfortable working with data—SQL experience is a plus but not required.
+ Have 3-4 years of relevant experience
+ Bachelor’s degree required
