The Role
We are seeking a personable and high-reaching individual to assist in growing our M&A Insurance business as Senior Associate. The role will require an entrepreneurial approach and willingness to use initiative but also appetite for knowledge and a solid legal background.
What you’ll do
Learn about the M&A insurance market, various insurance products we specialise in and the risks we can insure for our clients
Understand and learn the unique Howden M&A approach to broking which has underpinned our growth across Europe
Run the W&I policy placement process, including assessment of client enquiries, obtaining the most favourable terms in the market and negotiating policies with insurers on behalf of the client, for policies covering risks in Italy
Engage and work together with teams specializing in tax, title and environmental insurance, when placing policies
Assist in maintaining relationships with insurers and clients in Italy, join business development meetings and pitches with investors and legal advisors, and in time, run these meetings and develop own client base
Who we’re looking for
2- 4 years post-Italian qualification exam with experience at an Italian or international law firm, or at a multinational/fund (in-house)
Written and oral business proficiency in Italian and English
PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft applications
Excellent commercial, technical and analytical abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a high level of personal commitment
Self-motivated, innovative solution finder able to work both autonomously and collaboratively
Dedication, attention to detail and time management are essential skills for this role
Flexible, adaptive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking and prioritising effectively in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines, effectively managing stakeholder expectations
