In this role you will be interpreting data and turning it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions, by bringing together information from various sources and interpreting patterns and trends.

ResponsibilitiesAssess client legal hierarchy and the ‘Know Your Client’ (KYC) documentation required as per policy and proceduresFigure out various customer/entity types (Example: Publicly Traded Companies, Private Companies, Sole Proprietorship etc.) and the corresponding documentation required to complete policy requirementsAnalyze documents/information received and assess additional steps required to complete KYC as per proceduresDocument observations and ensure this is adequate for quality checks and auditsTake ownership by handling cases, tracking timelines and actions throughout the processAble to identify red flags and judge the need for a critical issueAble to meet timelines and turn around completed cases to meet service level agreements without compromising on qualityIdentify, recommend and implement process efficienciesStrive for quality and continuously improve based on feedback and lessons learnedAct as a buddy and assist more junior members of the teamMaintain a record of and report progress as the need arisesCommunicate with quality check team and team lead to resolve escalated issues as neededBuild relationship memos as the need arises for relationship managersOptimally communicate with Middle Office team, Line of Business, Divisional Compliance Officer and Relationship Managers for collecting missing information and raising issues as appropriateScreening customers using tools such as Lexis/Nexis, World Check etcQualifications we seek in youMinimum qualificationsB.Com/M.Com with good domain knowledgeAdvanced CommunicationInfluencing skillsProblem solving and decision-makingPreferred qualificationsRelevant experience in Capital Markets or Bank AML and / or KYC experienceUnderstanding of Capital Markets BusinessStrong research skills along with previous experience working for a research or data providerShould be able to adjust quickly to different work situations; remain composed under pressure and stressful situationsProven understanding of operational behaviors on different types of businesses (money service business, wholesale, import export, manufacturing, professional service providers, etc.)Bachelors or Master’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum 70% marks or a minimum GPA of 3Proficient in both written and spoken EnglishProficient comprehension skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detailWorking knowledge of MS ExcelStrong focus on quality along with an ability to read, understand and enforce to proceduresAbility to work in a dynamic environment with frequent changesAbility to work in large teamsAbility to seek and act on feedbackMust be flexible to any shift
