What you will do:
The Senior Associate will handle accounting matters for various Real Estate assets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Prepare or review financial statements, including footnote disclosures, while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and, if applicable, SEC requirements
Assist clients with SEC Reporting, including the preparation and filing of 10-Q, 10-K and other SEC filings
Consult on technical accounting matters, including the adoption of new accounting standards, and prepare technical accounting memos to ensure proper accounting treatment and financial statement presentation
Assist with research, and interpretation of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements on accounting issues and new accounting guidance
Play a key role in accounting close processes, especially in complex accounting areas, including reviewing and analyzing accounting entries and reconciliations.
Support month-end close and financial statement review
Assist clients with external audits
Learn and grow from direct on the job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs
Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and with your clients
Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting finance, business administration or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, audit experience with a public accounting firm is preferred
Experience with real estate preferred
Proven ability to management multiple engagements and prioritize assignments
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical and technical skills, including proficiency in U.S. GAAP
Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication, collaboration and time management skills
Proactive and self-motivated and able to work independently
Eligibility to work in the U.S., without sponsorship, highly preferred
The compensation range for this role is $70,610 to $124,660. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location
