Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer/Big Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Architecture team. As a Data Engineer/Big Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining small and large-scale data systems and architectures that support our business operations. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions that meet those needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Design and develop large-scale data systems and architectures that support our business operations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions that meet those needs.Develop and maintain technical architectures for data systems, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business objectives.Design and implement data pipelines, data warehousing, and data lakes using technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.Develop and maintain ETL processes using Python and modern ETL tools, data transformations, and data quality checks.Participate in the development of the company's data strategy and roadmap.Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in big data, data engineering, and data analytics.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.Participate in the development of technical standards, guidelines, and best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with data systems and architectures.Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Work Experience
5+ years of experience in data engineering or big data engineering, with a focus on designing and building small and large-scale data systems and architectures.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement complex data systems and architectures.Proficiency in database design and development on AWS cloud, including relational databases and NoSQL databases.Experience with data technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake and any other large-scale SQL and NoSQL databases.Experience with developing data pipelines using ETL and Python, data warehousing, and data lakes.Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS. Experience working with Lambda, state machines, and other native technologies used for Data Engineering.Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security.Develop or design data pipelines for AI workflows.Understanding and knowledge of feature engineering techniques.How to do data quality for ML use cases.Model data management and versioning.Distributed computing for large-scale AI.Use or understanding of AI Code Generators.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.Nice to Have:
