Senior Associate Director - Climate Risk Advisory
Aon Reinsurance is looking for an Sr Associate Director in Climate Risk Advisorye! Position Summary As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering tailored solutions and climate insights as part of our Climate Risk Advisory Analytics team focused on Aon’s energy company clients. The qualified candidate will have a strong knowledge of physical risk modeling solutions, e.g., catastrophe and climate models, and will be able to translate outputs into meaningful insights. This role is for an individual with a strong background in risk modeling and a desire to apply this knowledge in our industry sector which is impacted by physical and transition risk. Candidates will work closely with consultants, account executives and brokers to develop and deliver custom analyses to clients to help meaningfully on managing their climate risk. You will work with a highly collaborative team to contribute to the growth of Aon’s Climate Risk Advisory practice. Role Responsibilities: Project delivery and client engagement across North America for the suite of Climate Risk Advisory (CRA) propositions with a focus on physical risk solutions for Energy clients. Identify growth opportunities for climate risk advisory in the Energy sector, refine our offering, and collaborate with Climate Consulting leadership to enhance services and value propositions. Build relationships with account executives and brokers across Aon’s Energy team to determine key prospects for climate risk advisory. Manage project execution and project staff to ensure high-quality outputs and on-time solution delivery; create project plans including detailed timelines and key delivery check points. Manage pipeline / opportunity tracking and work closely with client engagement and growth strategy colleagues to ensure an accurate and up-to-date view of the team’s opportunities. Work closely with analytics colleagues within Climate Risk Advisory on development and enhancement of analytics that will contribute to growth opportunities with our Energy clients. Work with team to help determine key priorities. Support marketing material and publication development to illustrate Aon capabilities. Skills and experience that will lead to success: Minimum of 9 years work experience working directly with clients on delivery of analytics (with some catastrophe analytics) work products. Strong knowledge of physical risk modeling, e.g., catastrophe models (knowledge of climate models a plus). Expertise in data preparation and processing, mapping and visualization (Tableau, PowerBI, ArcMap, QGIS, etc.), and translating outputs into meaningful insights. A strong academic background in a quantitative field such as meteorology, engineering, climatology, or mathematics (advanced degrees a plus). Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position is $111,600 to $160,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted to reflect applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
