Senior Associate - Equities Back Office Settlements
The Equities Operations team is part of the wider global Corporate Operations Group and supports the Institutional Equities trading business in Macquarie Capital. Our team is responsible for handling post-trade life cycle controls for equities trading in global markets including trade allocation, settlement, funding, reconciliation, and client management.  At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. You will be responsible for performing daily monitoring of critical operational functions and controls to ensure the timely and accurate settlement of equity trades in both the Australian and New Zealand markets. You will work closely with the Trading Desk, Middle Office, and external clients to promptly address exceptions and inquiries, ensuring smooth post-trade operations. Additionally, you will identify and implement process transformations that enhance controls, increase efficiencies, and improve the overall client experience. 
You will get valuable exposure to the post-trade lifecycle of equity transactions and work closely with various departments, including Corporate Operations, Macquarie Capital, Finance, and Risk. Through these responsibilities, you will gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of a market-leading global brokerage business, while leveraging your technical expertise to drive innovation and operational excellence.

A tertiary degree in Commerce, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related disciplineExcellent communication and prioritisation skills, along with a forward-thinking approach to risk management A curious mindset and strong attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and display a proactive, analytical approach to problem-solvingKnowledge and experience in Global Equity markets and Equity Capital Markets is highly regardedProficiency in Alteryx, VBA, and Power BI is valuable.
