As part of the Cloud & Digital Strategy team, the incumbent will play an important role in supporting global engagement from India in driving the company's strategic and operational initiatives, implementing innovative solutions, measuring results early and often, and ensuring performance meets the desired targets. 

We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in Software Asset Management, This role will be pivotal in ensuring effective management of software assets across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAM processes, tools, and best practices, with the ability to lead and mentor a team to achieve operational excellence. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Develop and implement SAM processes, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and optimize software usage across the organization. 

Lead and oversee the software asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, utilization tracking, maintenance, and retirement. 

Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, procurement, finance, and legal departments to gather requirements, define strategies, and address issues related to software licensing and compliance. 

Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for optimization in software asset management practices. 

Maintain accurate records of software licenses, entitlements, contracts, and usage data in the ITAM system or software asset management tools.  

Provide guidance and support to internal teams on software procurement decisions, license compliance, and vendor management. 

Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in software asset management to continuously improve processes and drive efficiencies. 

Qualifications 

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field. Master's degree is optional. 

Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT asset management, with exposure to software asset management practices. 

Familiarity with software licensing concepts, compliance requirements, and industry standards. 

Working knowledge of ITAM tools or software asset management platforms. 

Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

 

 

Work location:  

Applicant should be willing to work from Hyderabad/Bengaluru (Bangalore)) locations. 

Applicant should be willing to work in second shift (1pm – 10pm)
